Edda Accommodation, a specialized provider of offshore accommodation service vessels, has announced that Johan Rokstad retired as CEO.

The managing director role of Edda Accommodation is now transferred to Kenneth Walland, CEO of Østensjø Rederi.

Rokstad started his career in Østensjø Rederi as captain of Østensjø’s supply vessels and has been with Østensjø for 40 years, of which 18 of them as CEO (from 1998-2016). In recent years, Rokstad has worked closely with the segment “accommodation” and the hotel ship Edda Fides.

In 2016 Edda Accommodation was demerged to its own management company, and Rokstad has since been the CEO of the company.

"This is a planned departure from the company. I am grateful for the journey I have been a part of, and the work we have all done together to make the Østensjø group a leading supplier of maritime services. Owner, Johannes Østensjø, has made it possible for us to focus on innovation and build new concepts. I am particularly proud of the adventure with Edda Fides and the concept Edda Accommodation," says Rokstad.

"Johan Rokstad has had great significance for the solid development in the company and can take much of the credit for the position the Østensjø group has today. I look forward to continuing to build on the adventure with Edda Fides and Edda Accommodation together with talented colleagues and wish Rokstad good luck as a retiree," says Walland.
