GAC Marine’s branch in Turkmenistan has been awarded two contracts by Petronas Carigali, a subsidiary of Petronas, to provide marine services for its development of the Garagol Deniz West (GDW) oil field.

The service provider of full marine transportation to the offshore industry said in a press release that it will supply three anchor-handling vessels manned by experienced crew and kitted out with specialist onboard equipment to provide critical 24-hour support for the drilling operations.

This includes transporting personnel and equipment from the onshore supply base to offshore facilities and between offshore rigs and platforms, oil spill response, accommodation, standby and emergency response support.

“GAC Marine has provided comprehensive marine services to support PC(T)SB’s offshore operations since our establishment in 2000 as one of the first foreign vessel operations in Turkmenistan,” says Nigel Bush, GAC Turkmenistan Marine Manager.

“With the resumption of drilling and development, our modern fleet and highly trained team will continue to deliver high quality, tailor-made services in the safe and most cost-efficient manner,” Nigel added.

GAC Marine has also secured a three-year contract to provide a tug supply vessel to support PC(T)SB’s ongoing operations.
