Monjasa Opens Vietnam Office

The Danish bunker company Monjasa has expanded its Asian operations with the opening of an office in Hồ Chí Minh City.

Following 11 years of presence in Singapore, Monjasa now expands further across Southeast Asia, the provider of oil products distribution and bunkering services said in a press release.

"Vietnam is in the midst of an economic upturn sending ripple effects to the shipping industry as well. Thus, we feel that now is the right time to make the move and build further on our local relations," it said.
 
“We already service a lot of local and international ship owners in the area, so a new office in Vietnam is the natural next step for us. In Vietnam, personal relations are crucial when doing business, and that is exactly how we want to do business. It provides us with the opportunity of meeting more customers face-to-face, understand their business and build further on our relations,“ said General Manager in Singapore, Morten Jacobsen.

“Our opportunities of making a difference for customers and suppliers in this part of the world are promising. In the current market, we see quality management and compliance as a prerequisite to work in bunkering and we bring in an operating model backed by ISO standards and vetting of our suppliers. In combination with profound knowledge of the culture, business and language, we are excited to open this new chapter,” Morten Jacobsen, concluded.

To head the new office, Chief Representative, Jimmy Nguyen, who has been with Monjasa for five years, has relocated from our Singapore office.
