Norway's Goliat Oilfield to Restart by Friday

Thursday, October 4, 2018

Oil production at Eni's Arctic Goliat field off the coast of Norway will restart by Friday following maintenance, the company told Reuters on Thursday.

The restart had originally been planned for Oct. 1, but Eni extended the outage to carry out additional work that will result in greater flexibility in the field's production, a spokesman said.

Goliat, the world's northernmost producing oilfield, has a capacity of close to 100,000 barrels of crude per day.
