Cooper awards Subsea 7 Sole work

March 1, 2017

Subsea 7 has been awarded a contract by Cooper Energy for the Sole gas development project in the Gippsland basin approximately 40km offshore Victoria, Australia.

The contract scope consists of the subsea tie-back of the Sole well to the Orbost gas plant, including the fabrication and installation of 64km of pipeline, spool, and manifold, along with the installation of a 54 km umbilical and the commission of the system.

Subsea 7’s project management and engineering teams in the Perth office will commence work immediately while offshore operation is scheduled to start in 2018.

Managing director for Australia and New Zealand, Andy Woolgar said this award draws upon the group’s substantial experience of delivering projects in the Gippsland basin over the 40 years.
