Origin confirms Beetaloo gas discovery

Origin Energy has submitted an initial report to the Australian Northern Territory Department of Primary Industry and Resources to confirm hydrocarbon discovery at the Amungee NW-1H well in the onshore Beetaloo Basin.

This is the final well in Stage 1 of the Beetaloo joint venture, and production testing is underway, the company said.

The well is also flowing back fracture stimulation fluid volumes, ranging from 100-400 bbl/d, as well as variable gas rates ranging from 0.8-1.2 MMscf/d.
