Real’s Tamarama-1 well flows gas

September 27, 2016

Junior Australian explorer Real Energy said the Tamarama-1 well in the onshore Cooper basin in Queensland, recently flowed gas with intermittent water cut.

Having flowed the well for several weeks, the amount of frac fluid significantly reduced and the volume of gas increased. Prior to shutting in, the well flowed mainly gas with intermittent water production.

The well is currently shut in for pressure build-up after nearly 100% of fracturing fluid was recovered during the flow back period. Real is planning to carry out the well test program in approximately three weeks.

Further flow back may also be undertaken prior to the well test in order to ascertain water free flow status, the firm said in statement.
