Exceed bags Southeast Asian gig

April 8, 2015

Aberdeen-based well management and performance improvement specialist, Exceed, won its first Malaysian contract worth around US$600,000.

The firm’s performance improvement division will work alongside client rig teams, developing front line solutions to optimize operational efficiency, reduce costs and eliminate waste, the company said in a statement.

Up to three members of Exceed personnel will be mobilized to the region to see forward this three-year campaign.

The well management team recently completed work on an ultra deepwater well in Myanmar, Southeast Asia. The well was drilled in water depths of 5800ft, which involved a team of 24.

“We have experienced a strong start to 2015, particularly in Southeast Asia where we have completed work on the world’s first ultra deepwater well,” said Ian Mills, director and founder of Exceed.

“The new business secured for our performance improvement division is also extremely significant, in a time where operators around the globe are seeking to maximize cost efficiencies and reduce waste, whilst maintaining high levels of safety and reliability. We have a strong offering and track record here.

“The work in this region is an important step forward in our global growth plans. Investment in our business has been a key part of supporting that growth over the last 12 months," Mills said.
