Vietnamnet reported on 20 September that a senior ExxonMobil executive has pledged to boost cooperation in the oil & gas industry with Vietnam, a potential market in Southeast Asia.
XOM will work closely with relevant Vietnamese agencies to implement agreements it has already signed with Vietnamese partners, said Neal Goins, Director of International Government Relations for ExxonMobil Corp. (pictured on the left).
At a meeting with Nguyen Van Hoa, Vietnamese Consul General to Houston on 16 September, Goins voiced the company’s commitment to bring the best projects to Vietnam in terms of both investment value and environment protection.
Hoa (pictured on the right) said he appreciated ExxonMobil’s investment projects and charity activities in Vietnam and hoped that the company would continue to expand cooperation and investment in the country.
Hoa introduced his guest and other ExxonMobil executives to the Consulate General in Houston and affirmed that the Consulate will do its utmost to promote cooperation between businesses in the US and Vietnam, especially oil and gas enterprises in Houston.
